Iím Bouvier. My latest film Blood Tulips premiered at The Horror-on-sea Film Festival in Essex England. I starred in it as Starla, co-wrote and co-produced it. The response st the film festival was tremendous.
It received three rounds of applause and a standing ovation which was very rewarding and impressive and made the difficult process of doing the film all worth it. This is the 5th film Iíve starred in. My other films are Venice Beach, Surgikill and Club Lingerie
The best thing I find about working in horror films is the creativity it offers fantasy, scaring people that like to be scared, and a dream world that can only be imagined unless actually living it while watching a horror film
Can you say anything about the movie Blood Tulip?
What I can say about Blood Tulips is that it was the most challenge Iíve ever faced. A little scary taking American actors to Holland (a foreign country) and taking a chance to pick up a couple crew members there, which luckily worked out, scheduling and coordinating, We were also concerned about the weather since it rains a lot and could pour but we had a lucky break that it was clear and mild.
People we didnít even know let us use their shops and restaurants to shoot scenes. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We shot streets scenes in the Red Light District of Amsterdam and in the town square of Delft with no problems. There were however delays in starting the film and delays in post production due to the scenes of authenticity involving the Second World War.
The film is based on true events dealing with The Holocaust, human trafficking, rare art theft rings and the Amsterdam Red Light District.
I work in the film industry because Iím an idea person and Iím creative. Itís been said Iím multi talented including acting, writing, fashion, and art. Working in film is a challenge and fun even though itís very hard work that many people donít realize. I love it and love being involved as an actress and writer.
Some of my upcoming projects: They want a sequel to Blood Tulips saying itís already a cult classic in the UK. Iím also planning a horror comedy that will be very different. Nothing like this has ever been done. Also planning a book about Blood Tulips.
My favorite recent horror film, outside of Blood Tulips, was Joker. Terrifying
My favorite horror film was Misery with Kathy Bates and Carrie, an old film but it was so frightening that at the end when the hand suddenly pops out of the grave I screamed and was shaking and grabbed ahold of my loved one
I try as much as possible to use true events something recent or from the past As an actress I, of course, study and learn my lines first and then for my character I draw from true experiences or people I know that lived through an experience that I need or similar, and then I become the character.
The actors and actresses I would like most to work with are Johnny Depp because I like his characterization, films, and acting style and the same for Jack Nicholson and Joaquin Phoenix and because they are great actors.
The actresses Iíd most like to work with are Kathy Bates, Meryl Streep, abs Scarlet Johansson because their films are always box office and the scripts are well written and they are all great actresses and Iím inspired by all of these actors and actresses.
My personal definition of horror is a film that scares me so bad that I shake and scream.
My current inspiration is Donald Trump because he has a very strong character and has won over extreme difficulties and obstacles and doesnít give up.
My favorite place is The Caribbean Islands. I also love California, Hawaii, and Tahiti
Something I know about Sweden is that itís a very beautiful and scenic country with quaint villages and very friendly fun loving people. Everyone should have the pleasure of visiting Sweden like I did.
Anything else you want to mention?
Something else Iíd like to mention about Blood Tulips is that it has a message about The Holocaust, a warning about human trafficking and even though itís a horror film it shows good winning over evil and itís a dedication to Holocaust victims who suffered so tragically during WW2.
This film is based on true events Blood Tulips is scheduled to have itís US premiere in San Pedro Californian at the beautiful Warner Grand Theater, a famous historic Art Deco theater. There will possibly be other screenings in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills California.
