To start things off, can you introduce yourself to the readers?

My name is Kaiti Wallen and I am an actress and model. I love music, painting, animals and I played hockey growing up. Iím also a producer and a nature lover.

What is the best thing about working in horror?

One of my favorite things about horror is how relatable it is. We are all scared, some of what weíre afraid of is different but I think weíve all looked in the closet, hid under a blanket and asked our parents to check under the bed.

So itís the thrill and who doesnít love a damsel in distress or maybe the hot cheerleader getting chased?!

Can you say anything about your movie you have been in?

Iíve been in a few movies but since were talking horror letís talk about Agramonís Gate and Ash and Bone! In Agramonís Gate I play the voice of reason in a couple who has an unwelcomed guest visiting.

In Ash and Bone I play a young step mother to a troubled teen and there is a lot of trouble!!

What inspired you to be a actor?

My first time dipping my toe in the water was when my sister needed me in her film school projects. But after she moved it kind of faded away and modeling was a simpler outlet.

Then meeting my husband Harley who was an actor I was re-introduced and this time I didnít dip my toe I fell head over heels in love and jumped right in.

Itís one of the coolest things to do is to leave your self and be someone else for a short period of time, creating someone and then living as them.

How did you prepare for the role?

First thing I did was read the script several times. Then after that figuring out her motivations and sketching out what she thinks, what she likes, how she talks, how she moves.

Then trying to figure out the sub text of it all. I can get pretty nerdy on this so stop me if I do. But I imagine my whole life as her, what choices she made to get there and whatís shaped her. I like talking to the writer and of course director early in so lt matches their visions.

Can you tell us about the greatest moment in your film career?

I am pretty sure or at least I hope that moment is still in my future but Iíve had some pretty amazing times so far.

There has been great moments but the first big impact was after my portrayal as Marie Alderman in ďBetrayedĒ to have actual victims of human trafficking say they felt heard through my portrayal was impactful.

Of course my first acting award was special, they are all special really but the first one was a confirmation that I am where Iím supposed to be and doing what Iím supposed to.

What are some of your upcoming projects?

Well I am super excited about Ash and Bone, probably as excited as Iíve ever been about a film that I am in releasing. Itís a very different film for our production company and it was very different roles for myself and Harley. The story is so compelling and I felt everyone brought their a game this film doesnít have a ceiling.

But itís about a troubled teenager who is taken to the peace and quiet of the country side by her father and step mother in an effort to calm down her wild streak.

But after she crosses the infamous McKinley family, it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment.

What was the project you learned the most from?

ďTale of TailsĒ without a doubt! Stepping in becoming the nuts and bolts producer of day today production on eight episodes on the TV series was a tremendous learning experience!

I am super stoked for this to come out I think this has so much potential and itís so intriguing!

What is the last horror film you saw? What did you think of it?

I just started watching ďThe Haunting of Bly ManorĒ and so far I like it.. As far as a horror movie it was ďThe WretchedĒ and i really liked it, plus supporting fellow Michigan filmmakers who made it, makes it even bettter!

What is your favorite horror movie and why?

Dead Silence, it just does it for me! Itís a hide under a blanket and watch horror movie for me, that doll creeps me out!

If you could work with any actors or actresses who would they be and why?

Oh so many, Iíll pick two. Scarlet Johansen and because sheís awesome and sheís hot! Second.. letís pick Ryan Reynolds, because heís super talented and hot!

Where can we find out more about you and your work?

Follow me on social media. Instagram or Facebook Iím pretty active.

What is your personal definition of horror?

I donít have a singular definition but it obviously needs to be scary or suspenseful and get your heart beating... I like most kinds of horror movies!

Favorite country or place?

I love Sweden, my husband is from there so weíve gone there a few times and itís amazing!

Did you know anything about Sweden?

That is so funny you would say that, but yes I do!

Sweden has amazing people and delicious food and Swedes are such good people and such yummy food, but I think I already said that.

Anything else you want to mention?
