To start things off, can you introduce yourself to the readers?

I'm Scott C. Sanford and I'm a screenwriter that shifted into producing as well the last several years

How did you get your start in the film industry?

I'm a long time psychiatric nurse that came to this later in life. Through some of my scripts being optioned and from writing a movie essay/review blog years ago I met a lot of b-movie industry people. I decided to produce my own horror films through my production company Seraph Productions.

Can you tell us anything about your movies?



Axe to Grind was released in 2015 by Midnight Releasing and the whole process from script to filming to DVD premiere, was a great experience



What do you consider to be the strongest element of your work?

Humor. No matter the genre I'm writing in, drama, horror, suspense, I feel humor is an essential component of all writing

Can you tell us about the greatest moment in your film career?

Sitting at The Crest theater in Sacramento watching a screening of AXE TO GRIND we put on in conjunction with a local food bank to help raise money for their location.

Do you think you've changed as an Director/Producer since you first started?

I learned a each project, even the ones that don't get made, are learning opportunities. I feel more confident every time out.
