Pot Zombies 2 Is Set for DVD Release

Pot Zombies 2: More Pot, Less Plot focuses on radioactive cannabis that turns smokers into brain and flesh eating zombies. The movie will be released on DVD on August 26th.

August 11, 2014 – A DVD release of Pot Zombies 2: More Pot, Less Plot has been set for August 26th, by MVD/Matabo Entertainment. To be sold in FYE/Suncoast stores, the movie caters to the zombie craze and the wave of marijuana legalizations which have swept the nation. In the Pot Zombies universe, the weed is radioactive. Stoners are not only getting high, but also gaining an appetite for brains and flesh.

The movie presents the world of pot from a comedic perspective. It also raises awareness of the prevalence of pot and its impact on the daily lives of Americans. Appearances include Billy Blair (Machete, Machete Kills) and Frederic Doss (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Transformers). Greg Ingram (Machete, Sin City) also appears. Also leading the team is Director, Justin Powers.

A sequel to the cult classic Pot Zombies, by TROMA, this comedy horror flick from Demonic Chronic Studios represents the emerging comedy film sub-genre of stoner films. As such, Pot Zombies 2 uses cannabis as a main theme. After all, the plot wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for pot.

This is a new twist on zombie movies. Its humorous approach should appeal to horror and comedy fans. A slightly different perspective on weed will give all stoners and non weed smokers a laugh. The marijuana sub-culture will never be the same.

Preorders are available now from MVD Visual. They’re also being taken on Amazon.com, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, Family Video, and Fry’s Electronics. The DVD will hit the shelves on August 26.

For more details about Pot Zombies 2: More Pot, Less Plot, and about Demonic Chronic Studios, go to http://www.demonicchronic.com/ .

“The Winedancers”

In the fall of 2013, the South of France paid host to the shooting of a new dark comedy/horror movie named “The Winedancers” – Written and directed by Gary Meyer while produced under the helm of Godam Film in France, the film is about a number of groups of people coming together and meeting up, in what to begin with looks very coincidental, at a winecheateu in the South of France. Needless to say, it won’t take long until a lot of very peculiar incidents start taking place; odd Pagan rituals, chateau hosts very far from the ordinary, people slowly going off the deep and end one by one – and most importantly: bloody murder – VERY bloody murder, in fact, offering real suspence that can almost be described as a classic game of whodunit with a lot of twists and turns!

“The Winedancers” features actors Lucinda Rhodes, Kim Sønderholm, Kasia Koleczek, Miglen Mirtchev, Edmund Digby-Jones, Kyle Calderwood, Mariana Peñalva, J.C. Montes-Roldan, Antoine Martin, Andrea Catozzi, Jonathan Christopher Duncan, Marina De Salis, Callie Roberts and many others.

The film has now gone through editing and the official trailer has been released.

"Utburd" is a low budget feature film based on myths about children left in the woods to die. Made by nine film students at NTNU (the university of science and technology in Trondheim), "Utburd" (meaning "myling" in English) is the first full-length feature film made in Norway as part of university studies. "Utburd" is their "exam project".

Following in the footsteps of previous Norwegian folklore-based horror hits "Troll Hunter" and "Thale", "Utburd" is about the young author Adrian who is working on his second book, about the myling myth. Unfortunately, he is suffering from writer’s block, so he joins his friends on a cabin trip to get some stress relief. During the stay, Adrian talks about the myths and legends of the unwanted babies, but soon the gang wonders if the mylings are just old ghost stories, or if there is something more to them than that.

(Edmonton) April 14 th , 2014 Typhoon Films has announced that THE KILLING GAMES will be released worldwide on Apple Itunes, Google Play and other outlets on April 22 nd , 2014. The feature film had its

Worldwide Premiere at the Calgary International Film Festival, and it’s U.S. Premiere in San Francisco at Another Hole In The Head Film Festival. It’s last stop on the circuit was at Shock Stock Horror Convention in London, Ontario this past weekend.

THE KILLING GAMES ran into its first hurdle when the Edmonton International Film Festival Chairman told Director Barry J. Gillis that the movie was too violent for their film festival. Gillis battled with the film festival to screen the movie, but to no avail. It was a bitter pill to swallow, and Gillis went public with his displeasure, which in turn led one of the festival organizers to tip off other festivals in a private film festival Facebook group to blacklist Gillis and his movie.

Despite the backlash from various festival organizers, Bruce Fletcher programmer with the Calgary International Film Festival requested a screener, and loved the movie so much, that the movie had a very successful debut in Calgary in front of a wild group of genre fans who thoroughly enjoyed the movie. THE KILLING GAMES has since put crowds into a frenzy wherever it has screened.

THE KILLING GAMES opens with a scene where a teenage girl Elysia (Yunona Anders) accidentally witnesses a sadistic killing by sociopathic serial killers Son of Satan, (Edwin Autridge) and Dirty Jesus (John Scott), who, once they finish their work, spot the girl and give chase. Meanwhile, Elysia's dad, the world-weary Birdman (Kelly A.H. Bird) is at home caring for his invalid wife. When Elysia doesn't come home at the usual time, Birdman begins to worry about the whereabouts of his daughter.

Not far away is a roving gang of criminals headed by Alex (Alex Sharpe), with their fingers in all sorts of vague illegal pies, including drug dealing and armed robbery. But after a growly-voiced henchman (Toby S. Krekoski) botches a stick-up job that results in multiple murders, Alex suggests they head off to see an old friend he hasn't seen in years, to lay low for awhile. Soon an ill fated confrontation leads to a bloody, and most unforgettable climax.

THE KILLING GAMES also features Kim Sonderholm, (CRAIG, LITTLE BIG BOY, THE HORROR VAULT) who stars as the Big Boss in the movie. Sonderholm is also set to star in the horror movie HOUSE OF MANY

SORROWS which starts filming August 18 th , 2014, in Alberta, Canada. HOUSE OF MANY SORROWS will be

Directed by Barry J. Gillis, and will star a big name known to all horror fans. More announcements concerning HOUSE OF MANY SORROWS will be made in the future.

THE KILLING GAMES can be Pre-ordered right now on Apple Itunes at the following link.

Jennifer Sky

I was in a horror film called My Little Eye. It was a great experience, and a chilling premise for a film.

What I love about the horror genre is that it has created a set of cliches that have become devices for endless and amazing creativity in the hands of great actors, writers, directors, make-up artists etc. For instance, the Walking Dead takes a horror staple (the zombie) and turns it into a dystopian soap opera that is more about the people than the killing of zombies, but still has all the gore. It was a few years ago, but Let the Right One In took all we knew about vampires, cliches intact (drinking blood, flying, sleeping in a coffin) and turned it on it's head by having genuine love story between the boy and the girl.

I have an e-book forthcoming in January from The Atavist about my time as a teen model in Japan. I also just filmed a short documentary about today’s fashion climate and the effect it has on young women. Find me on Twitter and Facebook to stay updated on my work.

I wanted to passed along a link for my e-book Queen of the Tokyo Ballroom that was published this week! It’s about my time in Japan as a 15-year-old model and examines the darker side of the fashion industry. The Atavist produces a really nice interactive platform for every story; they even made one of my modeling shoots into a gif! In the upper right is the social media share button, if you feel inspired to share it around. I hope you enjoy reading Queen of the Tokyo Ballroom and please let me know what you think!

If you would like to purchase it via Amazon, that option is also available.

Book Description:

When Jennifer Sky was 15, she was offered the chance to spend a summer working as a model in Japan. For a girl from rural Florida who spent hours poring over fashion magazines, it seemed like a dream come true. But soon she found herself all but abandoned in an unfamiliar city, attempting to navigate a ruthless industry on her own and waving goodbye to childhood on the boozy margins of Tokyo’s expatriate scene. In Queen of the Tokyo Ballroom, Sky recounts the summer that changed the course of her life—and left her still sorting out the consequences two decades later.

"Escaping the Dead"

Trailer Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXtaCB6mt7U

IMDb link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3334746/

"Escaping the Dead" is inspired by a series of articles about the deathdrug "Krokodil" that was published about the same period of time when Ronald Poppo had his face eaten by a naked man hooked on bathsalt in Miami. It is the perfect zombie plot: a deathdrug that turns people into zombies.

The film has its starting point in a typical day for the lead character, David. David is the local marihuana pusher, but he is the kind of dealer that smokes more than he sells. In the meantime the country has been hit by a new deathdrug and when David and his partner in crime Ahmir is offered some exceptionally cheap cocaine they see it as an opportunity to earn big money at the big techno concert the following Friday, but the cocaine turns out to have a terrible side effect that creates a giant zombie outbreak that spreads across the entire Copenhagen. In the film we follow David and his bloody fight out of the city.

Directed by Martin Sonntag and Bastian Brinch Pedersen, the film stars Bastian Brinch Pedersen (who is also the co-director and producer of the film) as David, Rama Øzel as Ahmir, along with Daniel Hutera, Ali Öezkan, Iben Ma Bønnelycke, Nicolai Huan Nguyen, Camilla Ludvigsen and Kim Sønderholm ("Blood Fare", "The Winedancers", "Sinister Visions") playing Lars the policeman.

The attached picture is a still picture taken from the film showing Bastian Brinch Pedersen and Kim Sønderholm, being exhausted from escaping a horde of zombies and having finally found a safe resting place. Or is it?
