The Story So far: The idea for Stand Off was conceived by the director, Joseph P. Springer Jr, after playing many zombie themed ‘man-hunt’ type games inside of a massive dilapidated building with his friends.
Having already created a feature length fan film based on The Legend of Zelda series, Springer set off to create an action/horror film inspired by the many moments inside of the old ancient ruin.
In 2012, while Springer was in his final year of high school, a script for the film had been written, actors were being casted, and scenes began production. After numerous setbacks during that time, the 17 year old boy decided to throw in the towel to focus more on finishing school and his life at home.
In his last semester of his freshmen year, Springer picked up the pieces to the film and got through production in the summer of 2013. By this time an entirely new cast was brought on board and every single scene had to be reshot.
After two years of post-production, Stand Off had its first public screening at the Amherst Theater in Buffalo New York on August 20th 2015. From there it has been in a few local festivals where it has been officially selected for screening and nominated for many awards in numerous categories.
In the midst it has been well-received by the community, has been featured and discussed in various articles, and has picked up a nice following on Facebook. Now it seeks distribution.

About the Director and RLGP(S):
Real Life Glitch Productions (Studio) was founded in 2007 by Joseph P.
Springer Jr in the seventh grade. What started off as making fan films and short videos for fun, would later pave the future for the young film-maker as he would go on to major in Communications at Buffalo Academy for Visual and Preforming Arts high school, where Stand Off would be born.
Then later continue pursuing film by getting accepted into a highly competitive major called Television and Film Arts at SUNY Buffalo State College, where only 15 students are accepted into the program each year from around the world.
As Springer continued college he realized the joy and passion he had for making independent films and dedicated his production company to making films that he was passionate about making.
And while Stand Off almost made its way to a burial in high school, the director knew that he couldn’t continue on with future indie projects until this one was made first, no matter the costs.
